Home is a big backyard, make believe, & nature. || Asotin, Wa

Nature family photographs

Home is tucked away in nature, next to the river valley, surrounded by green.
It is sun pouring through the windows, projecting rainbows across our bedroom walls.
Home is bursting with mom’s art & dad’s antler collection.
Home is our backyard. Make believe, sticks, & a sailing ship.
It is tall grass & dandelions. It is our pigs in their pen & our dog running by our side.
Home is running free with the wind in our hair.
It is the shed that dad built, grand stories of wild bears & elk, & his 1930’s map.
Home is wildness, freedom, vastness.
This is the Jameton family. This is home.

A city wedding in Chicago
A city wedding in Chicago
This is the story of Meghan & Chris & their golden wedding in the city.
Bustling through Chicago, the L train rushing by.
Friends gather from all corners of the country.
A golden gift of forever around her neck. & her dress, sparkling gold.
A tearful meeting at the alter, recounting their beautiful journey that has led to this very moment.
Gourmet donuts, gold balloons, & maps upon the tables. Memories of travels & all of their favorite people filled the room.
They danced the night away as they watched the sun set behind the city skyline.

This is the story of Lizzy & Roy & the day of their DIY woodland wedding in Northern Maine.
Their paths first crossed at fifteen & sixteen years old, & they have been together as sweethearts for six years.
He laced his shoes & secured his suspenders at his family’s cabin on the lake.
She stepped into her lace dress & golden shoes in her childhood bedroom.
They wed underneath the endless blue sky filled with fluffy white clouds,
& then ran through a field of wild flowers as a thunderstorm rolled in.
This field, her grandfathers land, once filled with potatoes & so much family history.
The field where Lizzy spent many moments helping with harvest & playing in as a child.
Laughter filling the walls of that big white tent as guests danced the night away.
Every corner, touches of gold & woodland decor. All hand crafted by the bride.
Their day, filled with so much meaning & thought. Every detail, a labor of love.
