This is the story of Jessica + Amir & their traditional Jewish backyard garden wedding.
She prepared for the day in her childhood home.
The refrigerator bursting with flowers that her & her mom placed together perfectly for her bouquet.
Intricate fans & blessings from the bride for the ladies & whisky + kippots for the men, all of their loved ones gathered before the ceremony.
Singing & dancing filled the air as Amir was led to veil his bride, his arms linked with his fathers’.
During the ceremony, her eyes on him as she circled seven times, marking that he will now be her home.
& together the stepped under the chuppah, soul mates together again.
Flower seeds, pale pinks, & bird cages scattered throughout.
Shadows dance across the tables from the afternoon light shimmering through the trees.
Laughter, cheers, & joy filled the air.
Ready to start their new life in California side by side.
& they celebrated the night away under twinkling lights as their guests entertained with backflips, pushups, & juggling.

Their paths first crossed at fifteen & sixteen years old, & they have been together as sweethearts for six years.
He laced his shoes & secured his suspenders at his family’s cabin on the lake.
She stepped into her lace dress & golden shoes in her childhood bedroom.
They wed underneath the endless blue sky filled with fluffy white clouds,
& then ran through a field of wild flowers as a thunderstorm rolled in.
This field, her grandfathers land, once filled with potatoes & so much family history.
The field where Lizzy spent many moments helping with harvest & playing in as a child.
Laughter filling the walls of that big white tent as guests danced the night away.
Every corner, touches of gold & woodland decor. All hand crafted by the bride.
Their day, filled with so much meaning & thought. Every detail, a labor of love.

A delightful southern meal filling the guests bellies: waffles + fried chicken, mashed potatoes, meat loaf, & sweat tea.
They ended the night with a rocking dance party, a Polaroid photo booth, & a very joyful, bubble-filled grand exit.

Like true New Yorkers, partaking in Famous Joe’s Pizza moments before they wed.
The cozy bookstore lit with candlelight. The tables were covered in terrariums & air plants.
Loved ones gathering under the towering walls filled with books to witness & celebrate this love.
& through tears, they spoke their promises to one another.

This is the story of Brooke & Steven & the day of their backyard BoHo wedding in Northern California.
They met in Australia while on set filming a Sci-Fi television series about dinosaurs.
He, from down under. Her, Los Angeles.
Their relationship spent on adventures here & there.
Now, the story of their love continues as they wed in her grandparents’ backyard.
Wild deer & baby turkey run free through the open space.
Guests lining the yard with tents in order to finish the night of celebrating by sleeping under the stars.
They are free spirits at their core, & their day perfectly represented that.
Surrounded by her grandmother’s art, she stepped into her dress & tied her sneaker’s laces.
She then waited in her grandmothers art studio as guests arrived.
Caring much more about loved ones gathering & sharing their love than putting on a perfectly scheduled production.
Running free in wild grass, playing rock-paper-scissors, & watching the clouds roll by.
Playing yard games, eating street tacos, laughing around a campfire, & twinkling lights all strung up in the trees.
Brooke & Steven. This is their day. This is their love.

They met when they were thirteen & fourteen at a summer camp, & here again at a summer camp, will say ‘I do’.
This day, filled with so many tears of joy & fits of laughter.
Strawberry shortcake & lemonade. Yard games, bug spray, & blankets to stay cozy after the sun disappeared.
Ending the day with the most incredible sunset over the lake & dancing in the big white tent under a huge blanket of twinkling stars.
