This is a peek into a DIY Woodland wedding in Maine. The story of Lizzy & Roy and their celebration that they made with their hands, incorporating so much of their heart and personal touches. From hand dipped gold feathers, to a popcorn bar, they thought of everything to create a full experience for their guests.
He laced his shoes and secured his suspenders at his family’s cabin on the lake. She stepped into her Anna Campbell lace dress and golden shoes in her childhood bedroom with her mom by her side. They wed underneath the endless blue Maine sky filled with fluffy white clouds, and then ran through a field of wild flowers as a thunderstorm rolled in.
The field were you will see Lizzy standing in her bridal gown was her grandfathers land, once filled with potatoes and so much family history. The field where Lizzy spent many moments helping with harvest and playing in as a child.
Laughter filling the walls of that big white tent as guests danced the night away. Every corner was filled with their DIY touches of gold and woodland decor. The bunting, globe guest book, and even the napkins were all hand crafted by the couple and family. Their day, filled with so much meaning and thought. Every detail, a labor of love.
