This is Sam and Calvin and their Arts District Los Angeles engagement images. We love to spend our engagement sessions pretending if we have just planned a really fun date, doing things the couple would normally want to do together. We hope you enjoy these images of Sam and Calvin doing just that in the heart of the city. And may this also act as a guide if you’re trying to plan a really fun date in downtown LA! 🙂 These neighborhoods of the city always leave us feeling super inspired and always prove to show us that there is a lot of life and a lot of nature spilling out amidst all of the concrete if you just take the time to look for it.
These two wanted to spend time exploring the heart of DTLA together, finding all the hip, colorful spots around the bustling streets. They started in downtown by the ACE hotel DTLA, Rialto Theatre, and Tower Theatre. They popped in for some ice cream at Salt and Straw and stopped at every colorful mural along the way. The busy streets, bright colors of the city, and historic charm of the buildings all lent to an inspiring time exploring the city. We found a cactus garden, loads of colorful tile, and a magical rooftop garden.
Next up: exploring the Arts District of DTLA. They caught sunset on the rooftop garden of a parking garage at Row DTLA, with sweeping views overlooking the skyline of the city. To end the night, they strolled the sidewalks next to art shops and took in the beautify of the overgrown greenery cascading down the parking garage and taking over the concrete of the city.
