A wedding at Mojave Moon. (See this same day captured in 35mm film HERE). This is the story of Emma and Lee’s intimate Joshua Tree Celebration. They gathered with their closest loved ones at this peaceful, nature filled hideaway in Joshua Tree. Mojave Moon Ranch was the perfect space for this celebration, a perfect secluded oasis tucked away on a dreamy rocky ridge in the desert. The space is filled with natural elements incorporated right into the structure of the venue: stone walls, natural exposed wood ceiling, gathered branches for the roof, huge windows overlooking the desert, and the perfect indoor to outdoor reception space that opened up right into the open air of the desert.
Emma’s dress was such a dream – intricate, delicate, modern and minimal. She had an exaggerated puff sleeve and the beautiful burnout organza fabric. Lee dressed in a classic formal black suit with a causal twist for their day. Their style fit into the day perfectly – natural, romantic, and modern.
Surrounded by the lush desert landscape, they said their vows in through tears and smiles in a cactus garden. The backdrop of their ceremony was breathtaking – wide open desert and the mountains of boulders off into the distance, bordering the valley. At sunset, Emma and Lee explored the wide open acreage on site, taking in the warm desert air. The sky turned creamy colors of pink and orange as they snuggled together in that wide open space. They shared gourmet fare together, seated on a long family style table with their loved ones. To end the night, they partook in cheers, cake, and heartfelt words under the desert cosmos.
