This is Avery + Chris and the story of their modern DTLA wedding on the rooftop of the NoMad hotel in Los Angeles. They wanted the wedding to feel just like them so decided to get married in their neighborhood, right around the corner from their modern DTLA loft. He got ready in their loft with their fluffy cat keeping him company before all of his best friends arrived. She got ready at the NoMad, with a window looking out into the city. They shared champagne cheers and she slipped into her elegant lace dress as golden light poured into the room. They saw each other for the first time that day were they shared their first kiss, right in the heart of the bustling city. They shared tears and hugs, right there in their neighborhood, their home. Surrounded by construction, traffic zipping by, and all the eclectic, beautiful people of LA. They spoke their vows on the rooftop of The NoMad in front of a beautiful backdrop of overgrown greenery and with a panorama view of the city. More tears, hugs, and so much laughter were shared up on that rooftop. They shared their first dance and filled their bellies with a tasty family-style feast as the city lit up for the night. Avery’s sister serenaded the guests and late night french fries were brought out to fuel all of the celebratory dancing.
